Surrounded by an epic landscape with mountains on the north side and the beautiful Latian damn on the south, villa Eslami is located at the end of city of Lavasan, far enough from the madness of a city such as Tehran, that is located on its west, not furtherthan an hour by car. In this project the aim was to make a tangible physical connection with its context. In order to that the volumes became a fusion of complex revolving forms as the building circulates and extrudes around its natural phenomena such as cliffs and steep topography.
To enter the main building one should pass through a garden on a narrow passageway to the main entrance reminiscent of a deep narrow valley, a curved walkway with water features that is in response to the Latian damn. This is the first hint at the landscape.
The main building exists out of three volumes that are interlocking on top of each other. According to the position of the rocks and the natural topography the volumes grow and evolve on the site.
After entering a large light-filled atrium one can see huge rocks, half inside, as if they have created a firm neat hole into the glass walls. The goal was to extend the organic forms to the interiority therefor once you inter the space the first features you get introduced to are these massive rocks alongside with curved indoor gardens and swirling organic formed walls. From the atrium a large inviting staircase leads to the main sitting area with a small wooden bar. On the other side of the sitting area a curved space contains the dining area and the kitchen. In order to lead the light into the kitchen and the dining area the dividing wall in-between the atrium and the dining/kitchen area has massive circular holes on it that extend the southern light and view to these areas.
A circular staircase elevates the public space towards the privet area. This vertigo leads towards three bedrooms on the higher levels, a master bedroom and two other bedrooms with a great view and curved walls and windows that are designed to catch the light.
Apart from the main volume there are two other buildings on the site one is the indoor swimming pool, sauna and the Jacuzzi and the other is a stable for two horses. There also exists an outdoor swimming pool that with its random curves mimics the Latian damn on its far view.
In this project all the artifacts on the site are woven to one another through a wildly designed landscape and all the twisted exteriorities as well as the dynamic interiors seem to be grown from the heart of that land, extending its roots under the ground and resembling its context.
