These two sister buildings belong to a couple of sisters. Two cracked shaped volumes are extending themselves along a wild landscape (Taleghan) with rough mountains and extreme climate changes, strong sunlight during the days of summer and cold white winters.
Having this epic Landscape surrounding our site we decided to let the nature to take over and we let our project to come out of the heart of this context.
The 550 square meter buildings on an 8500 square meter land incorporates two volumes that on a linear trend move above the land approaching it at some points and at the end going underneath specifically at the pool area.
Interior spaces in both volumes are tried to be homogenous yet framing different views from one another as they are situated strategically on the top side of the land with two different angles.
The four natural elements come together in this project as these two spaces became a platform for the sun (fire) to move playfully from outside to inside crawlingon the walls showing off from dusk to down. The lake (water) view is thoughtfully framed to be looked at and appreciated. We used that area’s pebbles (soil) to cover the rooftops to protect the interior spaces from heat and cold. Finally, the air flows along our linear spaces through many side openings let the people inside inhale fresh air while spending some time away from the cities.
